We had a couple of meetings to attend in Geneva, one private and one work related at the World Economic Forum headquarters. The latter is located on the hills overlooking Lake Geneva and has such a beautiful view. On a summer day its gorgeous up there!
We enjoyed the rest of our time walking around in the city, shopping a little bit, having a glass or three of wine and just relaxing and enjoying ourselves 🙂
In a pub however, we were sitting in this tall booth and between the seat and the back part of the bench there was an opening. I don’t know what I was doing or if I sensed something but, as I turned around to where my bag was sitting, I saw a hand wrapped around my BlackBerry in my bag and, as I located where the hand was coming from, behind the bench, in-between the bench opening, I look dead straight into the eyes of a man obviously trying to steal from me! He slid the phone back as he was caught off guard and it took me a second to register what was happening and as he walked rather quickly out of the bar I managed to explain to hubby that the man walking out tried to steal from me and J ran after him! ( my hero ❤ ) Unfortunately it was too late to catch him but, after a quick look through my bag I realized he hadn’t managed to snatch anything! Thank goodness! The people at the bar felt horrible and also showed me there were two security cameras right around our table. I am just so glad he didn’t get anything!
Another weird thing (I am good at weirdo stuff!). One morning at the hotel I went into the bathroom and didn’t bother to turn the lights on, having such great night vision and all! 😉 As I was washing my hands I looked into the mirror and I was sure that J was standing right behind me so I quickly said his name as I was a little creeped out, however when he answered he was clearly not in the bathroom but still in bed and, I swear I have never felt chills like that running through my spine and just all over! A bit freaky… I am sure it was just my tired state playing tricks on me but I jumped into bed and needed some protection from the shadows! 😀
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend 🙂
