So, on Saturday as I mentioned in my previous post, we had a sandstorm all day, and it was so fascinating! However in the evening it turned into a massive rain and thunderstorm. As we are not quite used to that type of weather here, we all get kinda weird and happy about it. It’s like we are all experiencing euphoria..

Anywho, it had stopped raining by the time we woke up yesterday and J suggested we should go for a morning power walk in the cloudy weather. He didn’t have to ask me twice! About 2 min into our walk it starts raining and our smiles get bigger and we get more ecstatic by the second. Suddenly we hear a little thunder, then see lightning, (okay, I am scared to bits by thunderstorm by the way..) and the rain gets a bit heavier and we decide to take a short cut as this one (me) was getting a bit anxious in between all the rain and wonderfulness of the weather. We had to start running as I was terrified as the rain was pouring down in such a fashion it was actually hard to breathe and we could barely see anything in front of us! Claustrophobia does spring to mind here… I am such a sissy at times and I hate to admit it! ๐Ÿ˜‰ We finally made it through puddles and rain into our cosy villa, completely soaked through everything and I meanย everything! It was seriously the most enjoyable walk/run I have had in a very long time.

Oh, and as we were getting closer to home a man in the neighborhood came down the road on his bike and making all these loud happy/ecstatic noises due to all the water, it was so cute you would have to be made out of stone not smile, he was like a child ๐Ÿ™‚

J called me from the car a little after telling me to grab my camera as the road was flooded and I should most certainly capture it. I put on my flippety flops and got some photos of the unusual sight for us and you guys :
